Imagine finding yourself trapped deep underground in a research bunker with no way out. These are the circumstances facing administrator Claire Holbourne and research scientists Dylan Harben and Paul Taylor after an lethal airborne virus renders the surface of the earth uninhabitable. The bunker is self sufficient; originally setup for a working population of 20 scientists and support staff, it has enough food to last for years, solar power supply, air filtration system, everything necessary to sustain life for an extended period. As life in the bunker unravels and Dylan is finally left alone, he is forced to dig deep to find the meaning of his life, any life and to choose whether to “go quietly into that good night” or to find the courage and inner strength to fight back and live.
